Official Guidelines on Sighting the Crescent Moon for Holy Month of Ramadan

<p>The High Council for Islamic Religious Affairs of Cambodia reminds all provincial Hakems, Imams, and mosque committees of the official moon-sighting protocols for declaring the commencement and conclusion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.</p><p>Regional observation teams will be stationed across coastal points in Kep, Koh Kong, and Kampot, as well as elevation observation centers in Phnom Penh and Battambang. Verified sightings must be transmitted immediately to the central Mufti secretariat.</p>
